  • Meet "Moonshot"

Porsche Cayman 981 in Racing Yellow

Powered by a naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine centrally mounted for optimal weight distribution, it delivers 275 horsepower, providing brisk acceleration and a distinctive, sonorous engine roar with Porsche Sport Exhaust.

Paired with Porsche's rapid 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic, it offers a direct connection to the road.

Step inside a stunning black leather cabin highlighted by vibrant yellow features.

  • Meet "Samoeng Loop"

The Samoeng Loop's 100km of smooth, twisting mountain roads are well-suited for a Porsche. The route offers a mix of sweeping curves and technical hairpins that complement the car's precision handling capabilities. Surrounded by scenic jungle views, it provides a genuinely engaging driving experience in Chiang Mai.

  • Key Route Facts

Starting Point To begin the loop counter-clockwise, head south out of Chiang Mai city center on Route 108 toward Hang Dong. Drive for approximately 10-12 kilometers until you reach the major Samoeng Intersection. Turn right onto Route 1269. The mountain ascent begins almost immediately after this turn.

    Key Route Facts

    • Total Distance: Approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) for the full circuit returning to Chiang Mai.
    • Duration: Plan for 2.5 to 4 hours of driving time, depending on your pace and stops.
    • Road Composition: The route utilizes Route 1269 for the initial ascent and southern leg, connecting to Route 1096 for the northern return leg via Mae Rim.
    • Driving Character (Southward Start): This orientation offers an immediate engagement with technical driving. You face a steep, twisting climb right away on Route 1269, tackling the sharpest hairpins while going uphill. The second half of the drive (Route 1096) becomes a more gradual, sweeping descent back toward the valley.

    What You Will See

As you drive the loop in this direction, the scenery unfolds in the following sequence:

    • Immediate Ascent & The "Seven Bends": Shortly after turning onto Route 1269, you enter dense forest and begin climbing rapidly. You will soon encounter the famous "Seven Bends"—a dramatic section of stacked, steep switchbacks that you will climb up through the jungle.
    • Rural Agriculture & Samoeng Town: As the road flattens near the midpoint, the dense canopy opens up to reveal terraced farms, strawberry plantations, and the small town of Samoeng itself.
    • Samoeng Forest Viewpoint: On the return leg (Route 1096), you will reach this prominent pull-off on your left. It offers sweeping panoramic views of the forested mountains you just traversed.
    • Sweeping Descent: The final stretch toward Mae Rim features wider, faster, sweeping curves shaded by an impressive "tunnel of green" overhanging canopy before returning to the valley floor.

  • About Us

Meet Smith & Loognum, the founders of Stuttgart Stable.

    Section image

    Hello there!

My love for Porsche started way back when I was just 12, building a plastic model of a Porsche 911 replica. It wasn't until 2023 that things got real. I finally got to drive one – a rented 911 in Austin, Texas. Wow. Feeling how quick it was, how it just went exactly where I wanted, that amazing sense where you and the car just melt into one. This was something I'll never forget.

    And it dawned on me:

Renting a Porsche can give me pure thrill, that incredible driving feeling, without the big headaches that come with owning a car, like the huge purchase price, the worry about expensive maintenance or finding the right place for service, the hassle of insurance, or dealing with resale down the road.

My wife and I live right here in Chiang Mai.

We're always looking at these amazing curvy, green mountain roads around us and thinking, wow, these are just perfect for a Porsche! That's when the idea really took hold: let's make it easy for other people who love cars like we do to come and really enjoy these special Porsches on the best roads Chiang Mai has to offer, and see this beautiful place while they're at it.

We'll have great Porsches ready for you, starting with our cool Racing Yellow Cayman 981 we call 'Moonshot.' They're all well looked after, and we've already picked out some fantastic roads for you to drive them on.
